The solution

The production process must be optimised so that repeat accuracy can be guaranteed time and time again. The component must withstand extreme loadings (mechanical/thermal) in conjunction with the lithium-ion rechargeable battery it contains, and is subject to exacting safety requirements. These demands are met by the material selection in conjunction with a production concept that has been designed and implemented by Allgaier to a large extent.

• Housing with removable base
• Material thicknesses up to 3 mm
• All-round housing jacket in one piece
• Attachment of numerous small components
• Minimum use of tooling
• Surface finish with glass bead peening
